MOTION

The most useful role of motion is to guide attention to the right place.

A heading entering, a card opening or a page changing can help visitors understand what is happening. That benefit disappears when motion starts competing with the content.

For scrolling experiences, I plan the order of the story first. What should people see first, and what can wait? Those questions shape the timing.

On mobile, the same story often works better with less movement. Respecting reduced-motion preferences is part of that approach.
